First Look at Salena Moore's Senior Pictures !

I just finished editing Salena's pictures and I absolutely love them! She was so easy to take pictures of.. must have been all those 'photo shoots' with her sisters! I loved Salena's willingness to do pretty much anything I asked... even stand on top of rusty barrels barefoot!

Sneak Peak: Stephanie

I took Stephanie Myer's senior pictures this past Sunday and I had a lot of fun with her. She is graduating this year from Doddridge County High School. I just quickly ran through like 20 of the 600 picture I took of her that day (yes, I know how crazy it is to take 600 pictures in under 3 hours!) and I found the below images and fell in love! I cant wait to see the rest! Thanks a lot Stephanie!

Sweet~N~Sour

1) Cheesecake. My mamma made me a super yummy strawberry cheesecake for my birthday which tasted amazing!
2) Bubble baths. They're wonderful and necessary.
3) Candles. Lots and lots of candles.
4) Smelling good. I love perfume, especially the kinds that last all day long.
5) Putting 1-4 together.... Perfection!

1) The audio editor---Audacity. Rather, editing your sound through Audacity, taking it to another computer then having it not work. But not just not work... but refuse to open at all.
2) Having a messy house and not having time to clean it.
3) I have to rant and rave about traffic in Morgantown since all of WVU's students are back on campus and well.. it's awful. So here goes... I was driving down Van Voorhis Road on my way to class this morning and I was running late. And as I was approaching the top of the hill where the Ridge sits guess who just had to pull out in front of me... that's right. The guy that found it absolutely necessary to drive a consistent 10 mph UNDER the speed limit. Did I mention that on this road the speed limit is already only 30? So that's right. We're traveling toward the traffic light which sits at the bottom of the hill and he's traveling along at 20mph and I'm getting frustrated because the light, you see, IS GREEN. And if you know anything about Morgantown and this particular traffic light, it takes FOREVER to get through. So, the light is miraculously still green by the time we approach it and do you know what he did next? He slowed down EVEN FURTHER! And the light, to no surprise, turned yellow and he stopped and shattered my hopes of ever getting through the intersection on this light. So this dear man made my morning commute a good 10 minutes longer than necessary. Needless to say, I was a bit peeved.

Final Day of August

As I was walking to my night class this evening, I passed through this section of the road where the air was laced with the sweet aroma of cigar smoke. The sun was shinning it's golden color that it now becomes at 6 in the evening. The leaves on the trees for some reason seemed particularly green as the sun found it's way through the holes in the branches. As I was noticing these things the tune of a Nora Jones song was stuck in my head and it was during this walk to class that I realized.... Today was good. God is always good. And I am blessed.

2009 Doddridge County Fair Queen's Pageant: Group Pictures!

This year there were seven contestants. From top Left: Kaleigh Cunningham, Chesa King, Hannah Hutson, Tiffany Boyce, Erica Smith, Savannah Cottrill, and Kayla Mitchell. I wasn't able to be at the pageant but I heard that all the girls did wonderful! The Pageant Director was the lovely Cynthia Loomis. She really tries to make things fun and exciting for the girls.

I had so much fun taking pictures of this year's Doddridge County Fair Queen contestants. There were seven girls and they were all wonderful to shoot. They were so willing to do pretty much every crazy idea I had. All of the girls came prepared to jump in the pool for the last group picture, talk about dedication, however, there was a short storm right before the shoot and having girls jump in the pool while it's thundering and potentially lightening isn't the safest! But the pictures came out great and here is one of their group photos. More to come!

I spent two days in Morgantown with my sister and mom taking my sister's senior pictures. I had so much fun and she was a great sport about trying different things. Her eyes are so beautiful. When the light catches them juuusssst right let me tell you boy, do they pop! The pictures turned out amazing but since she's so beautiful how could they not?

Sweet-N-Sour

I've been pretty busy lately but here's this week's Sweet-N-Sour.
1) I kinda love Jasmine Star. Her photography is amazing and she seems so genuine. I'm not a blogger by nature but her blog is one that I find myself checking on a regular basis. Today she posted a quote that I absolutely loved...... "Don't worry about making it shore...just be sure to breathe between the waves." So cheers to you J*.

2) Sweet Tea. Now by sweet tea I don't mean cold unsweetened tea with added sugar.... I mean sweet tea that any southern resident would be eager to drink.

3) I love love love the wonderful Cheesecake Factory. Cheesecake is my vice. With normal food I'm all about eating healthy and watching what I eat but when it comes to dessert... calories and sensibility goes out the window.

4) Being able to buy 260 dollars with of clothing for $120! I love being able buy two $60 Banana Republic blouses for $30! Bargain shopping is wonderful!

1) Going to a sweet awesome restaurant and not being able to find something that you want to eat.

2) Windy days when you're having a rare "Good Hair Day."

Sweet~N~Sour

I didn't want my blog to be all about photography, so I decided to throw something in once in a while about me. It's a section called Sweet-N-Sour (named by my sista!). Basically it's things throughout the week that I encounter that are oh so sweet and then some that are (as Ms. Jay would say it) Soouuurraaaa! So here it goes... the first sweet and sour post!

1) Memory Quilts made from pieces of fabric collected over 21+ years, baby and toddler traced hand and foot prints, and special notes from grade school teachers and special people. All made, designed, and put together by the wonderful Grandma $.

2) A younger sister who will become a model for her older sister who gets an sweet idea in her head.

3) I went to the movies today, first time in ages, and saw The Proposal. It was awesome, charming, sweet, and inspired a theater full of laughs from my sister and I (who by far laughed the loudest out of the 10 people who were able to go to a 12:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday showing.

4) Summer dresses. Enough said.

1) Steel-toed tennis shoes that provide a minimum of 3 blisters every time they're worn.

2) Rainy days. They're slightly sweet because they made my green pepper, hot pepper, and tomatoe plants grow faster, but they just get me so depressed.

3) Finding out that the University cancelled one of your fall classes (already) when I just had my schedule just perfect but now I have to go and figure out how to squeeze in another class that fits just right.

Bridal Shoot

Here are some pictures from a bridal shoot I did. My wonderful sister agreed to be my model for the afternoon and I'm so glad she did. I'm so psyched about the way some of the pictures turned out! The lighting was great this afternoon and it just made her red hair and the orange flowers glow. There's a slide show at the bottom with more pictures... Enjoy!
