SNOW DAY!!!

So we, in wonderful Doddridge County, had almost 10 inches of snow that accumulated from 7ish last night til 2ish today when I took the picture. It's been quite wonderful let me tell you!! I love love love it when it snows this much. The trees get all heavy and weighed down with snow, the roads get all covered over so everything becomes bright white, hot tea/coffee/cocoa are a must, and somehow God designed it to get really really quiet when it snows, so quiet that you can almost hear the snowflakes hit the ground. I just love it all!

Little Lexy Poodle was out in the snow earlier in the day, however she was shaking so bad we had to put her back inside. So, later on when I got the bright idea to take some sweet pictures, I of course grabbed the dog to take some animal action shots. So, I dressed Lexy in her cute little black sweater that is oh so snazzy with her L initial in bling on the back. But do you know those dogs that just seem to love to be dressed up. Like their parents have a whole box of clothes just dedicated to their dog and that little creature just seems to so enjoy the warm outerwear. Well Lexy is NOT one of "those" dogs. She hates, no... despises, no.... loathes putting on clothes. She stands, legs spread as wide apart as they can go, tail pinned down, ears down and she glares at you. Her faces reads, "You got another thing coming if you think that I'm going out in public dressed like THIS." So, she was less than overjoyed when I dressed her in her turtleneck sweater. So, I called and pleaded and coerced her outside. She looked at me with this disgusted look on face, turned her head the other direction, acted like she didnt hear me. So, like any good owner would do... I commanded..... Lexy, COME. She whimpered and came towards me. That's when, dear Internet, that I realized that I had put my poor dogs two front legs through the SAME arm hole. I felt so bad. And after I fixed the situation she still was not keen on wearing the sweater but we went outside regardless and had a grand old time in the snow!!

Little Bit of Detail

I had a bit of time to shoot around the house on Thanksgiving day and this is what I ended up with. Enjoy and Happy Monday! –B

Full of Thanks

I have so much to be Thankful for today and every day in fact. God has truly blessed my life. And lately day by day he is opening my eyes wider and wider to just how much he loves me, cares for me, and desires my love in return. However, on this day specifically.... I'm counting my blessings and naming them one by one!

Numero Uno: Football in the A.M.
One of the Salemites many traditions is to wake up bright and early, rain or shine, warmth or friged tempatures and play in the Mighty Turkey Bowl! So, I'm blessed to have so many friends that make the time to come together on a holiday and play a rousing game of flag football. What could possibly be better?

Numéral Deux: Pumpkin Pie.
That yummy homemade goodness topped with some sweet awesome whipped cream. Many a pies have been made in this pie pan. It belonged to my great-grandmother.

Novero Tre: Family
I love my family. I love each member for different reason but I'm thankful for their love, support, and loyalty most of all. My little sister is my bestest friend. And she humors me even when I want to take a bazillion and one pictures of her because the lighting is oh so swaaweet!

Now, I welcome you to the Meggie Budda Show!:

Next we have me and my mama: (that's right, we know how to work the camera!) And of course ma daddy!

(1: Spanish, 2: French, 3: Italian)

Modesitts: Anytime

I had so much fun taking these pictures. But then again, these guys always make me laugh. It was a pretty fun day even though Chad fell out of a tree, upside down, landed on his head and in the process knocked Laura Lee down and then both rolled down the embankment. It was quite Hi-larious! However, I withheld the laughter until LL started crying she was laughing so hard so I knew everyone was okay.
I hope you guys enjoy the pictures. Sorry it has taken me so long to get them to you. (No, Chad its not because they're awful. You guys look awesome!) But I wanted to make a movie/slide show type thing with them for you to look at them and I wanted a specific song that Laura Lee has said many times that she just loves. However, then when I listened to the CD I forgot which one it was. So you get to see the pics twice with two different songs!! :)
While this is not going to be my "Thanksgiving: What I'm thankful for" post, I am most definitely thankful for these two. They are probably some of the best friends a girl could ask for!
Thanks for being patient guys!

Happy Wednesday!

It seems to be the little things that make me happy. I was talking to my WV Uncovered partner yesterday about how I love to take this alternate walkway on my walk to class because it’s always so much better in all ways. First of all, there are much less people to dodge as I walk the super sonic speed that my father has trained me to walk in since I was able to put on foot in front of the other. Secondly, and my favorite part, is that this walkway goes under tons of huge trees which shed leaves in the fall. I was telling my partner how I go out of my way to take this path because guess who gets happy when those fallen leaves crunch underneath her tiny ballet flats!?! The sound of the leaves mixed with the sight of their vibrant colors and fally smell just makes me happy inside. So here are some pictures that I took the other day! I hope you enjoy them! Have a wonderful Wednesday…..-B
