"Fiery colors begin their yearly conquest of the hills, propelled by the autumn winds."

A couple of weekends ago I had to make a trip to Tucker County, W.Va. for a school project. My project partner, Katie, and I loved the drive there. We past by Wisp, Black Water Falls, and Canaan Valley, so if you've ever taken a drive through these places during the fall, you've experienced the type of beauty we encountered. It was breathtaking and we heard that the leaves weren't even in full "bloom" yet.
Since the drive, there's kind of been pretty crummy weather... lots of rain and oh so wonderfully cold. I mean, really... Fall is an amazing season and it has to rain during the time when I most want to do sweet awesome couple's anytime pictures for friends? The leaves are being blown off the trees at a rapid rate and then being drenched into a soaking mess on the ground and not a hot mess either.. just a mess. I'm not amused. However, my heart was restored today. The Lord blessed my soul with a glimpse of the sun today and on the way back up to Morgantown my displeasure lessened as I saw the sun reflect those wonderful red, orange, and yellow colors into the world again. And once again God found a simple way to remind me... He is good. I do so hope that the sun decides to stay out more and give the rain a rest. :)

This is a picture Katie took of me as I was snapping a few pictures after insisting that we pull off to the side of the road and document the awesomeness!
