Joseph and Andrea Wedding

These are some pictures from Joseph and Andrea's wedding. They were so in love and didn't mind showing it, which provided me with some pretty sweet candid shots! They were a lot of fun to shoot!

Ravi and Rose Wedding

These are some of the pictures I took from Ravi and Rose's wedding. I had so much fun shooting their Indian Wedding; all the colors were beautiful! On their wedding day it snowed so I was able to take some cute pictures from that (I wish I had more time to do some more fun stuff). I really like doing detail shots. They're so much fun!

A Little About Me and What I Love to Do:

I'm a senior at West Virginia University. I will be graduating in May 2010 with a degree in Journalism: News-Editorial with a focus in Visual Communications and a minor in Business Administration.

I have had my news photos published in several newspapers throughout the state such as Times West Virginian, SpinIt, and The Charleston Daily Mail. I have also had several articles published in WVU's campus newspaper, the Daily Athenaeum. I have personally photographed two weddings, one family portrait, and two seniors' pictures. I also spent last summer interning for WV Photographer of the year Lora Yeater. During this time I worked with families, small children, and high school seniors. I used a reflector, positioned lights, set lights, positioned subjects, set up some poses, created sets, and set backdrops.

The past year of my life was so busy and I was carrying an 18 hour course load. So, expanding my portfolio got pushed onto the "I'll get around to it" list. However, since then my efforts to learn have went into overdrive. I have had experience being the multi-media person for a class full of journalists who need video, still photography, or audio. Practically every day I received a new media request. I also worked on a multi-media project for Artists with Disabilities.

I love being a photographer and having fun with the people I'm able to photograph. Because of my major I photograph in a very photojournalistic way. I try and stay out of your way and stand back and capture the special moments of the day. I like my pictures to be candid and natural. I spend very little time posing. The best pictures are ones when you're able to show true emotions rather than show a forced smile for an hour in posed shots.

I want you to enjoy your wedding day, have fun, laugh, and be in love with your new spouse. These are the things that I try and capture for you so that you can relive the day as often as you like.
